According to PeckShield, a blockchain security firm, there has been a surge in the creation of "pump and dump" tokens using the name BingChatGPT. In a post on Feb. 20, the company warned that at least three of these tokens appeared to be part of honeypot schemes designed to trick users into sending Ethereum. PeckShield has identified bad actors who are responsible for creating dozens of tokens with a pump and dump scheme, with some of these tokens already experiencing significant losses. While it is unclear why the scammers are using the name BingChatGPT, they may be attempting to take advantage of the recent integration of OpenAI's ChatGPT technology into Bing and Microsoft's Edge web browser.
