To install theGist, simply click the “Add to Slack” button on the theGist.ai website. You’ll then be guided to connect your workspace with theGist. Make sure to select the correct workspace. Note that in some cases, you may require approval from an app manager to install apps on your workspace.

Summarize channels
Use the “/gist” command from any channel to get a fresh summary of what has happened in that channel over the last day.
Summarize threads
Use the message shortcut to summarize a specific message or thread.
Daily digest of selected channels
- Go to the Home tab (located at the top).
- Type “choose channels”.
- Set up the channels and desired time for the Slack digest.
